CS-1 Sifter Maintenance Video Now Online

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., Wesley Chapel, FL, has added a Maintenance Video on the CS-1 Gyratory Sifter to its website www.sifterparts.com and has plans to add more instructional videos over the coming months. This video will improve maintenance pro-cedures and cut repair time on the CS-1 Sifter by demonstrating the proper way to mount screens and gasket the sifter as well as how to shim, repair, and rebuild the sifter base. This easy to follow step-by-step video simplifies the maintenance process whether installing screens or rebuilding the sifter base.

Sifter Parts & Service Now Offers CS-1 Sifter Deck Inspection Porthole

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., has developed an inspection porthole for the screen decks to the CS-1 sifter. The inspection porthole offers the following benefits:

  • Quick access to view your screens
  • No need to take the sifter apart to inspect the screens
  • Less risk of human error during disassembly and reassembly
  • Easy to use, simply unscrew two wing nuts and remove the metal plate
  • Less down time due to screen failure
  • Improved sifter maintenance
  • Ability to retrofit existing CS-1 sifter decks
  • Self adhering gasket for the cover plate

BISSC Certification for the CS-1 Sifter

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., Wesley Chapel, FL, is authorized to apply the Baking
Industry Sanitation Standards Committee (BISSC) symbol to our line of two, three, and four separation CS-1 Gyratory Sifters. The CS-1 sifters conform to the requirements under the ANSI/BISSC/ Z50.2-2003 sanitation standards section 3.0 General Principles of Design, Construction and Cleaning for All Bakery Equipment as well as section 4.1 for Design Requirements for Handling and Storing Dry Ingredients Equipment. SPS strives to improve its products for the food and baking industries and is proud to display the BISSC Certification on our line of CS-1 Gyratory Sifters.

Expandable CS-1 Sifter Increases Capacity

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., Wesley Chapel, FL, is the current manufacturer of the stacked deck Model CS-1 Gyratory Sifter, formerly known under the names of Allis Chalmers, Ferrell Ross, and Blount. The CS-1 Sifter is an all metal machine capable of providing from one to four separations of any dry product from 1/4 inch down to 400 mesh. This sifter has the ability to screen up to 50,000 pounds per hour and its passive, gentle gyratory< motion keeps the product in constant contact with the screen for maximum capacity. The CS-1 can provide from 5 square feet up to 35 square feet of screening surface simply by adding additional screen decks. This is all done in a 4' x 4' footprint, minimizing the space required to operate the sifter.

PORTABLE RECLAIM SIFTER SAVES FLOUR, CUTS COSTS

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., Wesley Chapel, FL, has teamed up with its sister company American Fabric Filter Co. to develop a stainless steel portable reclaim sifter for sifting small batches of dry ingredients and reclaiming product normally lost through tailings. With the rising price of flour this can be an excellent way to cut costs. This versatile sifter is capable of batch sifting up to 600 pounds an hour and may be operated sitting atop a drum or using the optional adjustable rolling base for easy relocation around the plant. The all stainless steel construction and waterproof motor facilitate clean up. A custom RCN output dust chute allows quick changes between collection containers.

Faster CS-1 Sifter Deck Repair & Rebuild Service

Sifter Parts & Service, Inc., Wesley Chapel, FL, has expanded its shop and installed an additional compressed air line dedicated solely to the repair and rebuilding of CS-1 sifter decks. This increases our rebuild and repair capability, allowing us to process twice the number of decks and providing a much faster turn around time for our CS-1 sifter customers.
